Gordon was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 1990. Despite the diagnosis of this degenerative disease Gordon did not give up hope. He continued to live his life with dignity and love. He was very active in his family, church and continued to work with his beloved organizations until he was unable to do so. Gordon passed away peacefully at his son's home on Sunday, November 6, 2011 due to complications caused by Parkinson's. His legacy is evident in the many lives he touched.
